A river to drown in
A suicide to end a war
The surface is beckoning
And when I go down then
The undertow will take me home
I'll slit their throats and take my leave
Sometimes I already feel them move
Underneath my skin
It's about time I went underneath as well
No one understands
Why we spend our little lives
Dismembering ourselves just to survive
Sometimes I don't understand
Why I still waste my precious time
Trying to understand it all
A river to drown in
a suicide to make a point
might easily turn out to be
one of the thicker things to do
As if there ever was a choice
Thank god I finally
remembered where the nightmares grow
Peel back the skin and feel the scars around the pulsating remains
Rip it out and pry it open at the seams
Let's hope this tragicomedy will guide us back into our dreams
